Overseas
Sup y’all, my crew and I have been competing in competitions overseas thus I haven’t managed to go online and blog much. The experience has been flattering and massive props to my crew for their dedication and hard work. The results aren’t in yet but I hope we can grab a position in the top 3. I’ll be back in China near the beginning of December, just keep on reppin’! Peace.
Musicality
Musicality is a relying aspect in dance, it’s essential that the dancer is able to interact with the music thus following the rhythm, being in time and hitting the beat. Dancing in a competition, the judges won’t rely on how well you perform a move or how many moves you can pull off. Sure it’ll impress the audience but the judges will observe differently. If you can interact well with the music, expect a lot of points heading your way. If you want to impress the judges, don’t always rely on moves independently, connect those moves with the music. Musicality is important.
The only reason I was able to win the Freestyle comp in my hometown was because my opponent decided to execute all his moves consecutively without interacting with the music whereas I interacted with the music hence emerging victorious. Also, there’s no doubt he would’ve prevailed if he had musicality because his moves were bloody rippers..
Lose yourself in the music.
Giving up
Honestly, I don’t get why people decide to give up on their first go of trying something. Obviously you aren’t expected to get everything right on your first go so why bother ’giving up’ when you can give it another go?
Failures may be a turn off but if you realise your mistakes, you will only advance from where you are. If you really want to achieve something, don’t give up on your first go because you don’t know what you’re missing out on.

owiehowie asked: What's locking and popping
At first, I didn’t know what ‘locking’ was either until my friend showed me. Locking is a form of dance from the hip hop culture and it’s based around fast movements tied with freezes in short durations. The movements are commonly exaggerated.
As for popping, popping is a form of dance also from the hip hop culture but it’s completely different from locking. It involves contracting and relaxing your muscles along with movements that interact with the song.
Traffic.
Far out bro, what annoys you more than traffic? I was driving to Lan Kwai Fong showing my tourist friends around.. here they were expecting a lovely day, but apparently the bloody traffic had to delay us for 3 fucken hours!
However, we changed our destination to SoHo and had a spectacular time at the Karaoke bar.
